Call of Duty 4 New Features :
New Kill Cams: We’ve added new Kill Cams for everything. So now those “WTF!” grenades that seemingly come from no where, you can see that a guy threw it over the house, it hit a tree branch, bounced off a rock, into a tiny window, where you happened to be pointing out of, and say…… whoa. Follow behind RPGs and M203’s kill cams, claymores, Airstrikes where you can follow the bomb from the plane until it hits you.
Host Migration: Now you won’t have to be dropped back by yourself when a host leaves. Instead, everyone will stay together, a new host will be assigned, and the game will auto-start back up. Keeping everyone together, no more re-inviting, re-joining games because some host leaves. This has been a tall order and something that we’ve put a lot of work into which has allowed us to really optimize online play all around not just specifically with Host migration.
Improved Sniper / ACOG Accuracy: Sniper and ACOG scopes have been tweaked and are really improved. I use to not snipe at all (mainly because I’m a horrible sniper), but now it’s so much more fluid and natural, while still having the same difficulty to use, it has no more “WTF I know I hit that guy!” moments.
Upgraded Spectator Cam: Now when you’re in spectator mode you can follow them in 3rd person, switch to their first person view, or rotate the camera in a full 360 degrees around whoever you’re watching.
Quick Mute Option: Users will now be able to quick mute players on the fly by pulling up the scoreboard in-game or via the lobby by simply going to their name and hitting the mute assigned button. As quickly as calling in and designating an airstike. So no longer getting killed while trying to make your way through the Xbox blades for the mute option so you can shut up the guy who always seems to find it funny to sing into his mic or cover up for his lack of skill by telling you how to play Domination his way.

By now, you're probably aware of the closed beta for PlayStation Home that has been going on for quite some time. However, a new rumor has surfaced that says a "limited version" of the intriguing online service will go live at midnight on March 31. This will not be a closed beta, but it'll be available to everyone as a free download from the PlayStation Store. This free trial will last for exactly 30 days, and you can get a glimpse of the upcoming virtual world.
So says TheSixthAxis, this trial is called "Flat," and the user will receive a single apartment. There won't be any other major features, like communal areas and gaming halls, but you will be able to invite 3 PSN friends at any given time to come visit your flat. The apartment will boast custom soundtracks, video streaming on a flat-screen TV and even support videos recorded via PlayTV. Evidently, Sony is using this method as a "test-bed for future Home development." Also included in this 30-day trial are PSN micro-transactions for several flat upgrades and decorations, plus the testing of in-game messaging. Oh, and if you've acquired any trophies from the likes of Devil May Cry 4, those will appear in the cupboard in the bedroom, where you can keep up to 10 awards at any given time.
As for your personal virtual creation, users can purchase plenty of accessories and clothing, and you can also buy domestic appliances for your apartment. As for the flat's location, you will pick from three choices- Puy-de-Dôme in France, Alaska, or Texas. Now, none of this has been confirmed and TheSixthAxis doesn't list an additional source, so all of this is nothing more than rumor. However, it seems very plausible, so we'll keep an eye on things over the next few weeks.
News regarding Home and Warhawk
Quote:
Sure, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Resistance: Fall of Man may have wicked cool feature sets for PlayStation 3's Home, but it's actually Warhawk's planned game portal that has us most excited. According to our sources, the Home lobby for the Incognito dogfighter will serve as a "war room" where up to eight players can meet to discuss their strategy for an upcoming match.
Sure, you could do that with text or voice chat, but it sounds like the developers have gone the extra mile to make planning your battles even cooler.
Using a three-dimensional "sand table" replication of the level, Warhawk players are said to be able to lay out their strategies in a properly scaled space. They'll even be able to place little army men avatars around the map to envision their formations, something we hope they can also do with teeny tiny Warhawk planes, tanks and Jeeps.
The Warhawk war room is said to also serve as a launchpad for games, thankfully, so jumping into a match shouldn't require leaving the Home interface.
This is one of the coolest additions, in my personal opinion, to come to Home and the kind of thing that we hope is replicated and improved upon by other developers for their team-based titles.
Every time I start to lose interest in HOME they draw me back. SO wait...everyone can listen to the Mp3's on YOUR PS3? That is crazy! I already knew about streaming the movies. _________________ http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s236/coldstone9000/kdog3.gif
